Stand-up Comedy Streaming App Laugh.ly Closes $2.25 Million Seed Round

Launched in August, platform features first of its kind technology and largest library of comedic content from A-list comedians including Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Hannibal Buress, George Carlin, Chris Rock and more

Laugh.ly, the first and only streaming mobile app built for stand-up comedy, today announced the closing of a $2.25 million seed round.

Led by the New York Angels, the round also includes investments from venture capitalist Barbara Corcoran, the Wharton Alumni Angel Network, Social+Capital, Backstage Capital, Treehouse Capital, Accelerator Ventures and Atlas Holdings.

Launched in August 2016 and available for free on iOS™, Android® and any Web browser, Laugh.ly has the most extensive comedy library available with albums from more than 650 comedians including Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Louis C.K., Hannibal Buress, George Carlin, Chris Rock and more.
